Host Adeola Naomi is a Nigerian-Greek feminist who is passionate about holistic healing. The founder of ‘Distinguished Diva’ a platform for underrepresented women of African descent in the global media, Adeola has a Masters of Science in Public Health from Birmingham City University. She has worked as a radio producer, program facilitator, model, fashion editor and creative director for various European institutions.

Extract: What are the things that you remember as a child that you were not allowed to do? What are the things that brought you joy, safety or did not bring you joy or safety because there were no carers in your life to bring you that safety and provide that space for you to feel joy, that space for you to feel safe. You reparenting your inner child, you have to begin by reparenting yourself all over again and that means making choices, healing choices, daily choices, routine that will heal you from the childhood traumas and wounds and by intentionally making those choices in your own best interest, when I mean your own best interest,  I mean that the only factor in those decision of who you are you and how they give you joy. By remodelling yourself you focus on taking care of yourself. This starts from the basic things like focusing on your nutrition. Are you eating well? Are you eating what you want to eat? Or you just eating what is available? What is your relationship with what you eat? Does that remind you of anything when you are a child?  What are the things that you remember as a child that you were not allowed to do? What are the things that brought you joy, safety or did not bring you joy or safety because there were no carers in your life to bring you that safety and provide that space for you to feel joy, that space for you to feel safe.
